Date & Time
Monday, May 18, 2026, 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM

Description

The Declaration of Independence and the Gettysburg Address are as near as we get to sacred texts in the America tradition. Too often we gloss over the deep significance of the words and structure of their exquisite arguments and connections. In this small-group discussion the authors of Our Declaration and His Greatest Speeches: How Lincoln Moved the Nation will show us why these texts deserve their vaulted status and how they can shape us as human beings and citizens.

Join us for a unique opportunity to dig into the actual "words that changed the world" with leading scholars from the Jack Miller Center network!

Location: Museum of the American Revolution, Liberty Hall
