The 2026 Teach for Freedom Dinner will begin with will begin with opening remarks from Hanna Skandera, president and CEO of the Daniels Fund—the 2026 Leadership Sponsor of the National Summit on Civic Education.

The Jack Miller Center will honor Ben Sasse, former U.S. Senator and former president of the University of Florida, with the inaugural Jack Miller Center Award for Civic Education Leadership.

The evening will culminate in a special live podcast recording of Old School with Shilo Brooks, featuring a conversation with Pulitzer Prize–winning author and presidential biographer Jon Meacham.

Hans Zeiger, president of the Jack Miller Center, will serve as master of ceremonies.
