ABOUT THE NATIONAL SUMMIT ON CIVIC EDUCATION

Civic Education Leaders and Funders. Higher Ed and K-12 Reform. Actionable Steps.

The National Summit on Civic Education is an annual, invitation-only convening of leading civic education leaders focused on collaboration and solutions to the field’s most pressing challenges. Launched by the Jack Miller Center in 2022 in response to a call from founding-principles–based organizations, scholars, leaders, and funders, the Summit strengthens collaboration, advances ideas, and promotes strategic, field-wide investment.

Some attendees have long been dedicated to improving civic education, while others recently joined due to the pressing need. But all participants have one shared goal: to work together to get the teaching of America’s founding principles and history into America’s classrooms nationwide.
